Home Staging with Design Psychology

How does Design Psychology differ from traditional interior design?

Design Psychology is a new method for interior design that compels the buyer to choose your house over all the rest! Buyers view a prospective home with their eyes and yet their brain interprets what the eyes see into feelings—either overwhelmingly negative or positive according to subtle touches you purposefully appoint. Design details influence our senses of touch, smell, hearing, and even taste, to determine our overall psychological response to a home.

Traditional interior design techniques ignore our underlying psychological reactions. Elements such as lighting, color, patterns, textures, furniture and arrangement for human comfort, sounds and repercussions, scents and embellishments work together to convey emotional undercurrents. Rather than simply making a home look elegant or stylish, you can apply Design Psychology principles to effectively entice a buyer to say YES! You want to make the buyer feel like they can’t live without your home.

Dressing your house for success speeds the sale of the property. We sold one investment house in three hours—for more than the asking price!

Design Psychology uses color instead of bland white walls, props to entice buyers, and Marketing Psychology to sell faster and for more money. The secret to success is making the house outshine the competition using design details based on the psychological response of the prospective buyer.

Buyers may not notice the design details used, but they “feel” happy in the home and just have to have it, even though it costs more than the house next door.
